Images for Your Blog – part 2 of 4

Last time we looked at images you can freely use for your blog that are under the Creative Commons license.

Today I want to show you how to create simple screen-capture images on a windows computer. I do this when I am creating a tutorial like this one.

On Windows, click Start or the Windows Button. Now type “Snip” without the quotes. Windows will find the little utility program called Snipping Tool for you. Click on it and open it up. On the window, click New to activate the tool. Next click and hold your left mouse key down and drag a selection around just what you want to capture.  This may take some practice!

The window will re-launch as soon as you let go of the left mouse button.

Click Save and save your file to a logical place with a name you will remember. You can now follow the steps from last time to upload your screen capture image to WordPress and Insert it into a post.

Here is a Snip of this blog post 🙂
